1. Ice Skating
One of the best kept secrets of DC is the Ice Skating Rink in the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink. The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink is open mid-November through mid-March, weather permitting. View magnificent works of sculpture while skating in the open air and enjoying music from the state-of-the-art sound system.
The ice-skating rink will close at 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
The Kennedy center presents free performance at 6 p.m. everyday at the Millennium Stage. On Christmas Eve, they will present an early performance at 12 noon.
On Christmas Eve, the Cathedral celebrates Festival Holy Eucharist at 6 and 10 pm. A limited number of same-day passes will be available approximately 1 hour before each service outside the west entrance (Wisconsin Ave.) of the Cathedral There will also be a live webcast of the service.
4. National Christmas Tree.
Visit the National Christmas Tree, Pathway of Peace and Santa’s Workshop on the Ellipse in President’s Park on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, no charge.

A three-course Brunch on Christmas Day will feature festive selections from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. $95 per person, children ages 6 to 12 are $42, under 6 are free. An a la carte Christmas Dinner will also be available 6 – 10:30 p.m.
