And what about that baby panda everyone’s been talking about?
As you may know, the newest panda at the zoo was named this week. This came after a contest held to select the name. It took 100 days and more than 123,000 votes were cast and the name is: Bao Bao (means “treasure” or “precious”). If you cannot get enough of the little bear, the zoo has updates here. Plus there’s always the Panda Cam. The date has not been set for when she will be on display but it should be early next year.
We’d like to hear from you. Did you cast a vote to name the panda cub? Please let us know in the comment section.
