Pop-up Ceramic Show and Fund Raiser for Bancroft School New installation of porcelain serving pieces, hand-built colored clay by Benedict Tisa. Jason Hammacher will be presenting at The Gallery at Lost Origin Productions, a pop-up show for Benedict Tisa @ 3110 Mt Pleasant St. NW, Washington, DC 20010. Friday, February 16, 2018 6 PM – 9 PM.

Mardi Paws Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the 11th and Park Road Dog Park. 11 AM – 1:00; rain date following day. Costume contest at 11:30 am. Sponsored by 11th and Bark, North Columbia Heights Civic Association, Community Wellness Alliance, Green Spaces for DC, Friends of the Trolley Park, Patrick’s Pet Care & Encounter Church.

Starting Friday, February 16, 2018 at 12pm District Bridges in Partnership with Duende District will be hosting weekly Spanish Storytime for kids ages 3-6 years old at the Bloombars popup.


The Rock & Roll Marathon Saturday, March 10, 2018 

Get your sneakers ready! The marathon runs through the neighborhood on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Those of you on Harvard Street, expect to see the runners! Interested in signing up yourself for a full or half marathon?


Engagement Opportunities

Interested in improving the Education of our youth?

Join us at our monthly Educational Committee Meeting on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 7 PM at the Columbia Heights Community Center located at 1480 Girard Street, NW, Room #123.
There will be a presentation by the 21st Century School Fund on their upcoming enrollment study along with a discussion on enrollment projections and their use in making budget & facilities decisions. Contact Christine Miller @ [email protected] to learn more.

Meet & Greet for our neighbor and ANC Chair, Kent Boese, at El Tio Grill on Monday, February 26, 2018, from 6:30 to 9 PM. Kent is running for the Ward 1 City Council seat. El Tio Grill is located at 3345 14th Street, NW, close to the corner of 14th & Monroe, at the Tivoli Square.

ANC 1A is asking for volunteers to join committees to help research policy proposals, investigate neighborhood issues, and attend community meetings and hearings.
